Join Us! We are Celebrating Green Sex Toys & Planting Trees!

New York, NY – April 11, 2019 – Blush has led the way in truly sustainable sex toys with their Gaia® collection; made of recyclable, biodegradable plant-based plastic sourced from corn.

New Sustainable Sex Toys

Blush has just launched a Gaia Eco Bullet in three colors, and a point-of-purchase display that comes with a free floor tester. The Gaia designs are classic in form, feature strong motors. These toys are body safe and easy to clean!

“At Blush, we seek to make great pleasure products using sustainable materials,” says CEO Verna Meng. “Bioplastic is a perfect choice for vibrators since its nonporous, making it completely safe, clean for use in the body, and biodegradable.”

When promoting sex toy sustainability, Blush defines this as materials sourced from botanical elements, using fewer greenhouse gasses in production, and having the lightest end-of-life impact on the environment. Gaia pleasure products biodegrade quickly with the help of industrial recycling facilities. They will also biodegrade naturally in landfills after a few centuries.

The Blush commitment to being earth-friendly is also evident in the Gaia packaging, which is made of recycled paper, with no plastic inserts.

Planting Trees

Together, with the participation of adult retailers who sell Gaia vibrators, Blush will be planting one tree for every online store that carried Gaia and shares their URL. Blush will also plant one tree for every store that shares a photo of their Gaia products on their shelves.

Retailers can participate in the Blush tree planting initiative on the Blush Twitter and Instagram accounts. The promotion is taking place via social media (#GaiaGreenTeam) and runs through Earth Day, April 22, 2019.

Go Green Initiatives

Blush is also announcing their Go Green companywide initiative. All employees who buy or lease electric cars, install TESLA solar panels in their homes will receive company paid cash incentives.

“Climate change is a real issue,” says Blush COO Eric Lee. I want to do my best to protect the future of all children. I am hoping with this initiative I can influence a few people in our small company and by announcing this to our industry I can influence other business owners to also do something similar. Together as an industry, we can make a difference.”

The 17th annual XBIZ Awards was held Thursday evening at the spectacular Westin Bonaventure in downtown Los Angeles. The highly esteemed awards ceremony is a star-studded affair, celebrating the top performers, companies, technology, and products in the adult entertainment industry.

Blush Novelties is a company committed to ethics at every level, from manufacturing to retail. By operating its own factory, quality control is kept tight and held to a high standard. More importantly, Blush’s factories operate completely different from other overseas factories. “We make over 95% of the products we sell,” explains Blush Novelties’ Chief Operating Officer, Eric Lee. “We find it very difficult to trust another factory to care about our customers and the end user as much as we do. Our thought process is not about cutting corners, it’s about how we can make a better product. We do this because we can and take pride in all of our creations.” Blush’s elite, ethically-minded status in global pleasure products manufacturing has also lent Blush to offer its reputation and adherence to product quality through private labeling and OEM projects for other companies.

In addition, the company offers a free monthly online class series, Blush U, which DooLittle curates and hosts. In addition to product-specific information, DooLittle delivers pleasure-based sex education and sales tips to help retail partners serve and interact better with their customers on the sales floor.

Blush Fundraising Campaign to Benefit Homeless LGBTQ Youth

New York, NY – June 4, 2018 – Blush has embarked on a campaign to fundraise and empower homeless LGBTQ youth.

Statistics show that 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ, with 68% of those young people citing family rejection as the major contributing factor to their homelessness.

Established in 2002, the Ali Forney Center has grown to become the largest agency dedicated to LGBTQ homeless youths in the country—assisting nearly 1,400 youths per year through a 24-hour Drop-In Center in New York City. The center provides over 70,000 meals annually, medical and mental health services through an on-site clinic, and a scattered site housing program.

The organization’s namesake, Ali Forney, was a gender-nonconforming teen who fled his home at 13. He entered the foster care system where he was bounced around to several homes, sadly experiencing beatings and abuse. Ali ended up living on the streets at the age of 15. Despite his hard circumstances, Ali was dedicated to helping other young people and publicly advocated for the safety of homeless LGBT youth. Tragically, in December of 1997, Ali was murdered in Harlem—shot in the head and left for dead.

Supporting the efforts of the Ali Forney Center is perfectly aligned with the Blush mission stating that all bodies are beautiful, worthy and deserving of celebration and pleasure.

“We are a company that insists upon recognizing the rights of all individuals. We understand that meeting the basic needs of a human being must come before pleasure. Knowing that from a young age lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and pansexual youth face extraordinary obstacles means that we must go above and beyond in our efforts to care for them.” says Blush’s Resident Sex Educator Ducky DooLittle. “We are so grateful that the Ali Forney Center exists, and we are proud to fundraise for them.”

Together, with the participation of adult distributors and retailers who sell Avant Pride, Blush will donate $1 to the Ali Forney Center. The promotion take place the entire month of June 2018.

Blush Sponsors Women To The Front II Event in Brooklyn, NY

Due to the glass ceiling that still today creates an unbalanced display of genders in art institutions, the mission of Women To The Front II is raising their voices to equalize this proportion and shatter the glass ceiling. Through art and music, they built a space to inspire and empower the upcoming female-identified generations and art appreciators. WTTF is an immersive exhibition of music, art, video and performance, celebrating and showcasing women in the arts and support women in business.

Blush was one of the major sponsors of the event because this is what we stand for. We stand for empowerment, kindness, love, and equality.

The creators, Daniela “Zoe” Croci and Terry Lovette were united in 2017 by their shared vision of a future where a woman’s success is not limited by their gender. In collaborative practice, these culture-makers are creating opportunities for women in the arts and music and supporting woman-owned business through the Women To The Front curatorial project.

The night started with a brief introduction and a discussion with brilliant women identifying creative professionals. The panel consisted of five individuals from various creative industries. The conversation centered around personal experiences in their respective fields and changes they are part of our hope to see in the future.

The conversation was followed by performances in the main room by Terry Lovette, Ivy, LADAMA, and Sandflower Power were well-received by the attendees while some enjoyed FUEL by Amy Gardner, Premiere of “Javier Ninja, The Heir” by Zoe Map, andThe Mixtape: Stay Black , Baby by Jasmine Lynea in the viewing room. A few women-owned businesses were also present during the event.

As for the Blush table, people very much enjoyed getting to feel the sample products in real life over just seeing photos on the internet. Throughout the night, Blush raffled off some goodies for them, which everybody was excited for. Everybody who came by the booth had big smiles on their faces and very much enjoyed talking about our company, products, and their experiences.
